The CASSINI Hackathon Croatia took place on 5-7 Nov 2021!

Participants leveraged #EUSpace data & signals to understand and protect the Arctic region. Participants put their skills to the test and tackled one of the three challenges under the theme of Connecting the Arctic.

The CASSINI Hackathon Croatia took place in Zagreb to explore how EU Space data could be used to Connect the Arctic and protect its wildlife. This hackathon was a hybrid event, so participants could join in person or virtually!

The Hackathon Croatia took place at Bird Incubator, Ul. Franje Petračića 4, 10110, Zagreb, from Saturday, 6 November at 09:00 CET.


Teams were presented with 3 challenges that tested their creative skills and imagination from the very first brainstorm. They used data from Copernicus, Galileo and EGNOS to imagine game-changing solutions and won career-changing prizes along the way!
 

€3,000 cash prizes & incubation

The top three teams received a €1,000 cash prize. More, the most talented teams had the chance to be selected by:

  • BIRD accelerator for an incubation program
  • European Space Agency Business Incubation Center (ESA BIC) of Science Park Graz for an EU pre-incubation program of Space Hubs Network
