Who was involved?

In Cyprus the CASSINI Hackathon was organised by CyRIC - Cyprus Research and Innovation Center Ltd in collaboration with Gravity Ventures Incubator and Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence.

We challenged hackers to develop smart solutions in areas such as: encouraging outdoor activity, water conservation, improving air quality and responding to sandstorms. As an island, Cyprus is often a good testbed for developing solutions that can be implemented on islands worldwide.

The top three teams of the CASSINI Hackathon Cyprus won:

  • 1st prize: €5,000
  • 2nd prize: €2,500
  • 3rd prize: €1,500

The 2 runners up also received €500 per team.
