Leverage #EUSpace data & signals to understand and protect the Arctic region. Put your skills to the test and tackle one of the three challenges under the theme of Connecting the Arctic.

Join the CASSINI Hackathon Slovakia and explore how EU Space data could be used to Connect the Arctic and protect its wildlife! This hackathon will be a hybrid event, so you can join in person or virtually! Choose one of the three locations: Bratislava, Zilina or Kosice.
Teams will be presented with 3 challenges which will test their creative skills and imagination from the very first brainstorm. They will use data from Copernicus, Galileo and EGNOS to imagine game-changing solutions and will win career-changing prizes along the way!
The winning teams of the CASSINI Hackathon Slovakia will receive valuable prizes:
- 1st place will receive €3,000
- 2nd place will receive €1,500
- 3rd place will receive €500
The top teams will also receive:
- A night at Laboratory of Cosmic Physics on Lomnický štít – one of the highest peaks in Slovakia
- 15 hours of business and technical mentoring from SARIO
- An opportunity to pitch the idea in front of the Slovak VC community
- An opportunity to pitch the idea to the Slovak Space Incubator
- 3 years of free membership in Slovak Aerospace Cluster
- Legal consultancy from SCHIN & MAJDÚCH Legal
The top 3 teams across all hackathons will be awarded with an additional +100 hours of expert mentoring.

The Slovak Space Office will be organising the CASSINI Hackathon Slovakia this time around. The SSO is a joint project of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
The Industrial Branch at SARIO is in charge of developing the Slovak space ecosystem and bilateral international cooperation. Because of this, the organisation represents the perfect organiser for the Slovakian Hackathon this time around.
