CASSINI Hackathons

Participants had access to invaluable tools, training and support throughout the hackathons. We aim to provide everything participants need, so they can give their solution everything they’ve got.

Data access

We wanted to minimise the time needed to process data. That’s why we created a dedicated data cube for each hackathon. The data cubes contained pre-processed Copernicus data and information about a specific geographical region and time period, focused on the hackathon theme. Cloud infrastructure

Participants had access to virtual storage and computational resources for the duration of each hackathon. The Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem supported the 6th hackathon edition, enabling them to discover, manipulate and download Copernicus data and information. The cloud infrastructure aimed to provide all the processing power and storage participants needed to hack their way to success.

Precise positioning

Participants improved the accuracy of their solutions with the JASON platform. This platform provides a fully automatic PPK/PPP processing engine for precise location/navigation. Learn more about this tool.

Missing crucial data? We got you covered. Participants took advantage of our code repository. Hackers were invited to share their code with the CASSINI Hackathon community on the open-source platform, Github.
