Join the Hackathon in Wroclaw!

Are you passionate about gaming, sports or travel? Have you ever wanted to build your own business? At the 10th CASSINI Hackathon, you’re invited to develop solutions or services made for consumers. Success stories start here…

Our participants get all the training and tools to utilise EU space data and reimagine the consumer experience. Over three days in Krakow, you’ll hear from experts in retail, gaming and travel. You’ll explore the data available from Copernicus, EGNOS and Galileo. Then you’ll connect with other professionals to form a multi-skilled team. Your challenge? Pick one:

#1 Immersive gameplay with space technology and data.  Can you use Galileo’s positioning data to enhance dynamic gameplay?   Utilise satellite connectivity for real-time updates?  Or create your own core gameplay mechanics to integrate real resource management data?

#2 Space-powered performance - transforming sports. Could you use GNSS to improve athletes’ analytics? Create training plans which are adaptable to the weather and terrain?  Or develop an immersive app for fans to feel like they’re running with their favourite players?

#3 Beyond horizons - redefining travel with space innovation. Would you use satellite imagery and Galileo positioning to help travellers enjoy safer, sustainable trips?  Build a tool for travel agents to make their service more personalised? Or create an immersive app which allows people to explore from anywhere?

Prizes

Local Prizes

During the Hackathon, teams receive the support they need to develop an idea, research the market, and design a compelling pitch. After 3 days, the judging panel picks 3 winning teams.

Local prizes will include:

  • Those who secure the 1st and 2nd place will receive cash prizes, recognizing not just the quality of their work, but the effort, ambition, and skill behind it. These financial awards are intended to be more than a token of appreciation—they’re a step toward enabling further growth, education, or new projects.
  • In addition, they will receive tickets to Digital Dragons, one of the most important game industry events in Central and Eastern Europe. It’s a place where creativity meets technology—a unique opportunity to connect with game developers, publishers, investors, and industry leaders from around the world. Attending Digital Dragons means stepping into the heart of the gaming ecosystem, gaining insight, inspiration, and valuable contacts for the future.
  • In addition, the top participants will be granted one-year educational licenses for SOLIDWORKS, one of the world’s leading 3D design software platforms. This professional-grade tool equips students and young innovators with everything they need to turn their ideas into reality, offering a chance to learn industry-standard skills in a practical, hands-on way.

About the organisers

Krakow Technology Park

For over 25 years, the Krakow Technology Park has been shaping the conditions for entrepreneurial development. For the past 15 years, it has operated a Technological Incubator tailored for early-stage IT companies. It supports and inspires the startup community by organizing various events such as workshops, hackathons, and conferences, which help validate business ideas. The park implements acceleration and incubation programs, offering support from seed funds, tax exemptions under the Poland Investment Zone program, and preferential office space rental conditions.

A significant focus of KPT lies in Industry 4.0 and the gaming industry. It leads the hub4industry consortium aimed at providing comprehensive support to companies interested in implementing Industry 4.0 solutions. For over 10 years, KPT has been building support systems for the gaming industry, organizing the Digital Dragons conference, a key event for the European gaming industry, conducting market research, running incubation and acceleration programs for young game studios, and supporting education initiatives.

The company also collaborates with international organizations, including the European Space Agency, and supports companies and initiatives in the space sector, particularly in the utilization of satellite data.

The Krakow Technology Park is also expanding its scope of activities. It is part of a consortium responsible for establishing the Małopolska Center for Innovative Hydrogen Storage and Transportation Technologies. The goal of this newly established company is to integrate the business, scientific, and business environment around initiatives supporting and developing hydrogen technologies in the Małopolska region.
