Are you ready to develop solutions to shape the future of health? The 9th CASSINI Hackathon provides training, mentoring, and inspiration to power your next project. Could you be part of Romania’s next space tech start-up? Big ideas start here…
Join this event to hear from national experts in health and space technology. Watch our online training sessions and learn to use the data from Copernicus, EGNOS and Galileo. Bring or join a team, and develop a solution for one of three challenges:
- Monitoring disease outbreaks and health risks
- Enhancing smart emergency healthcare delivery
- Supporting mental health and well-being
In Romania we have a space sector which generates €400 million annually, and interest in space technology is growing. At this Hackathon, we will explore the potential applications of EU space data to benefit our national healthcare system.
Local challenges include monitoring health, disease outbreaks and environmental hazards, especially in isolated communities, as well as emergency service delivery and vaccination programmes.
To be inspired by local experts and network with international stakeholders and investors, join us between 16-18th May 2025.

The top 3 teams across all competing hackathons will each be awarded an additional 6 months of expert mentoring.
