Join this event to hear from national experts in health and space technology. Watch our online training sessions and learn to use the data from Copernicus, EGNOS and Galileo. Bring or join a team, and develop a solution for one of three challenges: 

  1. Monitoring disease outbreaks and health risks
  2. Enhancing smart emergency healthcare delivery
  3. Supporting mental health and well-being

Did you know that Italy was the third country to put a satellite into orbit? 60 years later, we have 300+ companies in the space sector, generating more than €4 billion annually. 
In the healthcare sector, local challenges include air pollution and heatwaves, patient record management and service delivery, all of which will be addressed by the participants in this edition of the Hackathon!

Additionally, the local winners will qualify for the European competition, where they will receive the following prizes:

  • 1st place: €5,000
  • 2nd place: €3,000

The top 3 teams across all competing hackathons will each be awarded an additional 6 months of expert mentoring.

About the organisers
TESEAS develops technology solutions which drive efficiency and innovation, specialising in biotech, environmental science and AI. TESEAS will host this Hackathon at the University of Bologna – which is where Giovanni Cassini was Principal Chair of Astronomy, building a legacy which continues today.  
By fostering collaboration among startups, SMEs, and experts in space technologies and healthcare, TESEAS will create a dynamic environment to inspire groundbreaking ideas at this Hackathon.
