The CASSINI Hackathon Norway will take place in Kristiansand. Join to explore how EU Space data could be used to develop innovative solutions that revitalise European tourism.
Teams will be presented with 3 challenges that test their creative skills and imagination from the very first brainstorm. They will be using data from Copernicus, Galileo and EGNOS to imagine game-changing solutions and win career-changing prizes along the way!
Prizes
The top three places will receive:
- Cash prizes of up to €5,000 from local sponsors.
- 1 year office space in Bølgen bærekraftsenter, valued at €5,000.
- Free sustainability programme at Bølgen bærekraftsenter.
- 1 year membership to Digin, valued at €335.
- 1 year membership to Visit Sørlandet Cluster, valued at €3,500.
Mentoring
The top 3 teams across all hackathons will be awarded an additional 100 hours of expert mentoring.

This edition, the hackathon in Norway will be organised by Bølgen Bærekraftsenter (Regional Sustainability Centre), Bærekraftsfestivalen (Sustainability Festival), Digin (Regional Information Technology and Information Systems Cluster), Visit Sørlandet (Regional Tourist Industry Cluster) and Arena for Bærekraft (Arena for Sustainability for the Music and Event Industry) and the UiA (University of Agder).
Together, they wish to bring together business people, environmentalists, innovators, and academics to collaborate on sustainable change. By organizing the CASSINI Hackathon Norway, we aim to build new alliances and add a valuable international dimension to the fostering of technology as a tool for sustainable destination development.
The CASSINI Hackathon Norway will take place at the Bølgen Bærekraftsenter: Vestre Strandgate, 12 4610 Kristiansand. You can choose to participate physically (on-site) or virtually (from home).
